He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Barker and Dicie Barker; his son Curt Allen Barker; his daughter-in-law Lori Barrier-Barker; his brothers, Robert, James, Harrison, Jack and Doug; and his parents-in-law, Harlan and Mary Thompson.
He is survived by: his brother Dutch; his wife Marilyn J. Thompson Barker; his daughters, Robin Hill (Tim) of Lynn and Shelley Miller (Joe) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Jeramiah Taylor (Kelli) of Richmond, Jessi Sweet (Aron) of Centerville, Matthew Barker of San Diego, Jake Taylor-Hill (Candi) of New Paris, Jenna Wilson (Brandon) of Powhatan, Virginia, Samantha Purcell (John) of Richmond and Kristofer Miller (Madi Pearson) of Noblesville, Indiana; his great grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Jade Hill (Nigel Vance), Taygan Dalbey, Wes Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Kenley Adams, Brady Sweet, Ezra Wilson, Kainen Taylor-Hill, Peyton Wilson, Lainey Taylor-Hill, Chris Bane, Ann Cottongim, Robin Henry and Cathy Hayes; and his siblings-in-law, Donnie Thompson (Pat), Ronnie Thompson (Betty) and Patsy Thompson.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Tom J. Barker will be private with Pastor Charles Miller and Reverend Cliff Nunn officiating.
