He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Rankin and Viola Lucas Rankin; his sons, Michael S. Rankin (Debbie Isley) and Steven D. Rankin; and his siblings, Marilyn Walters, Barbara Robertson and Larry Rankin.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys L. Laswell Rankin; his daughter Jennifer Martin (Mark) of Melbourne, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Tessa Rankin of St. Paul, Jacob Rankin of Webster, Kyle Martin of Melbourne, A. J. Fugazzi of Enid and Nick Smith (Brandy) of Fishers, Indiana; and his daughter-in-law Beth Rankin of Webster, Indiana. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
