He was predeceased by: his parents, Green Brandenburg and Dafney Handy Brandenburg; his wife Mary; his children, Thomas Charles Brandenburg Jr. and Annie Vandevender; and his siblings, Mafrie Allen, Christine Shearer and Lowell Brandenburg.
He is survived by: his children, Starla Wolters, Mafrie Brandenburg and Daniel Brandenburg; his grandchildren, Jason Shettles, John Shettles, Thomas Schmidt, Christine Brainer, Mandy Sue Chesnut, Justin Croucher, Jadriann Cervantes, Juan Cervante, Jamie Brandenburg, Taylor Vandevender and Victoria Vandevender; his siblings, Troy Marcum and Ora Brockman; and his close friend Christina Philpot. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
