He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sparks and Elsie Duncan Sparks; his son Rick Allen; and his sisters, Bobbie Green and Louise Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Jennefer Purcell Sparks; his daughters, Jessica Sparks of Richmond, Julie Sparks of Richmond and Tracy Reynolds (Ralph) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Dustin, Chase, Taylor, Miranda, Julian, Will, Jude and Jacey; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Jack, Mallie, Anthony and Khalia; and his brothers, Tom Sparks and Grover David Sparks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
