He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bass and Ina Bass; his wife Evelyn Bass; his aunt Elizabeth Kelley (Harold); his cousins, Marilyn Dowdell (Joe), Billy Kelley and Natalie Hooks; and his stepgranddaughters, Stacia Bronston and Tracie Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Deirdre Lynn Solomon (Larry) of Evans, GA and Ron Bass, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jules Knight of Fountain Inn, SC, Kelly Knight of Columbia, SC, Brittany Knight of Charlotte, NC, Keona Solomon of Blackville, SC and Alexis Solomon of Blackville, SC; his stepchildren, Chrisandra Bronston (Dennis) of Richmond, Nicolet Edwards (Louis) of Cleveland, OH and Edward Douglas of Richmond, IN; his stepgrandchildren, John Bronston II, Derrick Douglas, Damon Douglas and Demetria Scott; his cousins, Yvonne, Jackie, Jennifer and Dee; and his close friends, Tom, Rosie and Scott. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
