He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Nelson and Jeanette Watts Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Hughes Nelson; his children, Todd Helms (Brenda), Kristi Nelson (Bill Frack), Chris Helms and Kim Helms; and his brother John Nelson (Ronda). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews; 1 great-niece; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Doan & Mills Funeral Home (790 W Nat'l Rd, Richmond, IN 47374). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Goshen Cemetery (3600 North St, Richmond, IN 47374).
