He is survived by: his wife Anna Ruth Skelly; his daughter Amy Christensen; his stepchildren, Annette Taylor (Jeff) and Glen Walters; his nephew Donald Deer (Becky); and his niece Pamela Deer. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
