With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Dean Watson of Richmond, Indiana, born in Centerville, Indiana, who passed away on December 5, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Paul and Martha Jean Rose Watson; his son Richard Dean "Ricky" Jr.; his brother James Riley Watson; his niece Sandra Kay Watson; and his brother-in-law Ivan Thurston.

He is survived by: his wife Dianna; his children, Amanda Jones (Brad) of Richmond, Terren Ouellette (Michael) of Maine and Ronald L. Watson of Kentucky; his siblings, Shirley Thurston of Richmond and Jerry Watson (Peggy) of Wabash; and his sister-in-law Florence Watson of Richmond. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
