He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland H. (Martha M. Ritz Hirschfeld) and Richmond; and his brother George Hirschfeld. He is survived by: his wife Janice E. Tait Hirschfeld; his daughters, Julie E. Garrett (Terry) and Nancy A. Short (Tim); his grandchildren, Justin Short (Britta), Ryan Short, Olivia Short, Shytana Garrett and Michael Garrett; his great grandchild Wyatt Garrett; and his sister Ruth Ann Burris (Lowell). He is also survived by five nieces; cousins; and many friends.
