He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Pierson and June Heath Pierson; his wife Madeline J. Short; his granddaughter Amber Preston; his great grandchild Nova Powell; and his siblings, Mona Jean Pierson, Sandra Kay Hart, Ronald Pierson and Jim Pierson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Preston (Randy), Paula Shook (Rick) and Kari Koons; his grandchildren, Madeline Brooke Lawrence (Ian), Courtney Cain (Jesse), Devon Powell and Kelcee Koons (Christian Ricker); his great grandchildren, Lillian Tiller, Quinten Cain, Brayden Cain, Kacie Hinshaw and Addelyn Cain; and his great-aunt Velma. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
