She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucian B. McDowell and Orpha P. Hobbs McDowell; her husband Harry E. Swihart; her daughter Rhoda; her son-in-law Steve Baker; her son Steve Bemis; and her siblings, Pauline Robbins, Martha J. Lockwood, Mary Pitman, Jennett Lybarger, Maxine Nealigh and William Clinton.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Finnell of Hamilton, Ohio, Tony Glasscoe of Palestine, Carl Brandt of Madison, Dean Creech (Melody) of Hamilton and Bill Kley of North Carolina; her stepchildren, Norma Swihart Kuhnle of Michigan, Larry Swihart of California and Harry Swihart Jr. of Illinois; and her sister Joanne McDowell-Paddock of Wyoming. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
