She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Charles and Florence Smith Stenger; and her sister Emma Stenger. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Leroy Whitaker; her sons, Jesse Whitaker (Lyndia) and Shane Whitaker (Beverly) of New Paris; her grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Devon, Dylon and Chloe; her great grandchildren, Paislee and Jaxson; and her siblings, Mildred "Millie" Coyle, Ernest Stenger and Vickie Burton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be limited to 25 people, at a time, in accordance with county restrictions for COVID-19 and all visitors are required to wear masks.
