She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Kettler and Lillian Smith Kettler; her husband James E. Ghearing; and her siblings, Earl Kettler and Helen Cook.

She is survived by: her children, Rodney Ghearing (Carolyn) of Lakeview and Kathy Wise (Jerry) of Richmond; and her grandchildren, Ashley Ghearing, Vicki Ghearing and Nicholas Ghearing (Allison). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
