He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bayes and Rosalie Bayes; and his brother Tom Kuhn. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Fike Bayes; his children, Daniel Bayes, Matthew Bayes, David Bayes, Karen Horton and Timothy Murphy; and his siblings, Donald Crabtree, Shirley Bobbitt, Ben Bayes and Carolyn Keeton. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
