He was predeceased by: his father Russ Hansel (Denny); his grandmothers, Daisy Hansel and Nancy Swinney; and his mother-in-law Melanie Curnutt. He is survived by: his wife Elise Hansel of Richmond; his mother Sarah Hansel (Libby) of Chesterton, IN.; his sister Carol Bates (Rodney); his father-in-law Don Curnutt; his sisters-in-law, Jama Brown (Bryan) and Andrea Dudas; his nieces, Sarah Bulmer (Jamie), Danielle Barnhizer (Jason), Madison Brown (Bry), Maggie Thacker (Colten), Grace Dudas (Isaiah) and Olivia Dudas; his nephew Hayden Brown; his uncle Gary; his aunt Marylou Carney; his cousin Amy Redman (Kirk); and his brother Brett Carney (Stacy). He is also survived by Great Nieces; Nephew; and many family and friends.
