He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia M. Jones Bailey; his sons, Steve Bailey and Gary Bailey; and his sisters, Alice Moore, Udema English and Edna Corley.

He is survived by: his sons, Mike Bailey (Amanda) of Richmond and Charles Bailey of Sidney, Ohio; his grandchildren, Michael, Lyla and Amber Bailey; and his sister Betty Jenkins of Richmond. He is also survived by cousins; and many friends.
