He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Herning and Audrey Rhodes Herning; and his brother David Herning. He is survived by: his wife Helen Thoma Herning; his children, Lori Henry (James) of Richmond and Steven Herning (Monica) of Greenfield, Indiana; his grandchildren, Micaela, Alexa, Matthew Herning, Steven (Andrea) and Sarah Henry; his great grandchildren, Hayden Burton, Kylie Henry and Paisley Herning; his siblings, Fred Herning of Delaware, Ohio and Kelly James of Delaware, Ohio; and his friends, Randy, Ann Stolle, Buster and Mary Lou Evans. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins.
