He was predeceased by: his parents, David Baker and Vivian Fox Baker; his former wife Connie Foster Baker; his son Eric; and his former wife Rosemary Starnes Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Meredith Huffman Baker of Richmond; his children, Tracy Baker, Kathy Varble (Kenneth), Kimberly Robbins (Travis), Donald Mullins (Gay), Jeffery Newman (Shannon) and Mike Newman (Kara); his stepsons, Kyle Miller (Mindie) and Lt. Cmdr; and his siblings, Linda Ringley (Phil) of Fountain City, Diane Chamness (Homer) of Richmond and Tim Baker (Martha) of Richmond. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
