It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lannie Mae Shaffer of Richmond, Indiana, born in Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter C. Taylor and Bertha Willis Taylor; her husband Lawrence Shaffer; and her son S. E. Hickam. She is survived by: her daughters, Bertie Huddleston of Winchester and Mary Ellen Colvin of Evansville, Indiana; and her brother W. C. Taylor Jr. (Marie). She is also survived by five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
