With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Lee Compton of Richmond, Indiana, born in Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on August 1, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carthal Compton and Lela Coner Compton; his wife Lela Mae Thompson Compton; and his brothers, Herman and Robert Compton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Veta Bass (Jim) of Richmond, Karen Johnson (Earl Thompson) of Richmond and Linda Killion (Rick) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Michelle Bass of Indianapolis, Jason Bass of Richmond, Chris Cochran (Beth Hampton) of Richmond and Ashley Courts (Brooks) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his great grandchildren, Haley and Kaleb Cochran; and his brother Winfred Compton (Pauline) of Somerset. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
