Kay Ripberger Kathleen Shirley Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay Ripberger Kathleen Shirley of Richmond, Indiana, who passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura "Bea" and Albert Estill Cooper; her siblings, Dottie Osborne, Carl "Pody" Cooper, Ernest "Pete" Cooper and Roy Robertson; her aunt Mae Rentfro; and her close friend Josie.

She is survived by: her husband Herb Ripberger; her children, Shirley Weiss (Mike) of Centerville, Terry Thompson (Sharon) of Richmond, David Thompson (Shirley) of Centerville and Ronnie Thompson of Richmond; her stepchildren, Amy Russell (Randall) of Liberty, Indiana and Mike Ripberger (Dawn) of Liberty, Indiana; her siblings, Anna Robertson, Alma Sweet and Al Cooper; and her sister-in-law Lois Cooper. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
