He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McGovern and Josephine McDonald McGovern. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude A Hart; his children, Debra Arline Wilson, Marylou Zacatelco and Johnnie Burton McGovern Jr.; and his siblings, Gloria Graw, Emma Turpin, Josephine Jennings, Earle McGovern and David McGovern. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
