He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Irene, Ed Wheeler, Robert "Butch" and Marie Day. He is survived by: his parents, John D. Day of Richmond and Brenda K. Day; his children, Brooke Scales (Jordan), Abby Day and John "Bubba" Day of Richmond; his granddaughter Ava Scales of Richmond; his siblings, Shelly Maiden (Gary) of Richmond, Randy Day (Sue) of Richmond, Larry Day (Kathy) of Richmond and Daniel Day (Andrea) of Richmond; his nieces and nephews, Britny Day, Kaytlyn Maiden, Lilly Day, Alexia Reece, Kara Mullins, Kelsey Mullins, Courtney Mullins, Randy Day, Larry Day, Josh Maiden, Nick Day, Gunner Mullins, Blake Mullins, Conner Mullins and Jason Walters; his aunts and uncles, Joyce Allen, Deborah Day, Dianna Wheeler, Debbie Day, Dennis Day and Dennis Richardson; his siblings-in-law, Sue Day, Kathy Day and Gary Maiden; and his close friend Gilbert "Punkie" Puckett. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
