It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewell Spears of Richmond, Indiana, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on October 31, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Glen Spears; and her daughter Sonya. She is survived by: her children, Alan Spears (Donna) of Richmond, Ann Dickson (Ronnie) of San Rafael, Sheila Spears of Richmond and Amy Spears (Barry Barker) of Indianapolis, Indiana.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Jewell was involved in the community as a volunteer and board member at several local organizations, including the Townsend Community Center, Red Cross, Wayne County Welfare Board, Wayne County Foundation, and Richmond Art Museum.
