James Dwain Oda Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2024, at the age of 92, James Dwain Oda of Richmond, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd J. Oda and Bernice O. Oda (Baker); his brother Donald; and his wife Barbara Eileen Durr Oda. He is survived by: his children, Gloria Plascak (late Tom) and Michael (Dory); his grandchildren, Jennifer Shumaker, Leanne Wilkie (Scott) and Eric Plascak (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Gavin Shumaker, Caden Plascak, Abigail Shumaker, Emily Plascak and Adalind Wilkie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
It was Jim's wish that, in place of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Riley Hospital for Children, as he remained ever grateful for Riley's work in diagnosing, treating, and restoring health to him during his hospital stay due to Perthes Disease.
