He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gilmore and Helen Downing Gilmore; his wife Phyllis Darlene McKee Gilmore; his son Rodney Gilmore; and his siblings, Doris Dallas, Phyllis Mills, Marilyn Weller and Lowell Gilmore.

He is survived by: his daughter Sandy Kiracofe (Todd) of Eaton, Ohio; his granddaughter Raegan Prater; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth McKee, Kathy Gilmore and Ron McKee (Joyce). He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and many friends.
