She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Deaton and Flora Hensley Deaton; her son Thomas; her husband William D. Murray; and her siblings, Dexter Deaton, Lydia Brown, Lula Gwin and Lois Horner.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Tipton (Bruce) of Liberty, Don Murray and Angie of Richmond. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
