He was predeceased by: his father Benton Smith; and his father-in-law Arthur Crawford. He is survived by: his mother Lucette Smith; his wife Barbara Smith; his sister Kathy Martin (Tony Martin); his nieces and nephews, Jessica Coyle-Gross, Victoria Walker, Joshua Coyle and Kraig Martin; his great-niece Elin Walker; his great-nephews, Kaleb Gross, Gabriel Coyle and Colter Walker; his aunts, Myrtie Ann Cash of Richmond, IN and Mary Dicken (Clayton Dicken) of Albany, KY; his cousins, Rebecca Norris, Lisa Mullins, Conni Polley, Verna Lear and Brian Dicken; and his brother-in-law Larry Crawford.
