He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rodefer and Norma Rodefer; and his grandparents, Daugherty, William, Addie Rodefer and Frank Matthew Rodefer.
He is survived by: his close friend Carolyn S. Andrews; his daughter Julia C. Guess; his stepchildren, Phillip Martin, Rebecca Martin, Rick Martin, Sheri Andrew and Scott Andrew; his grandchildren, Jacob Noelker of Charleston, Warren Guess of Richmond and Amarianna Guess of Richmond; and his siblings, Norma Jean, Clara McBride, Heidi Pugh, William "Ed" Rodefer and David Rodefer. He is also survived by 5 step grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren, eight nieces; two nephews; seven aunts from all over; five uncles; and a host of cousins.
