He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Peter and Ethel Hardin Legear; his granddaughter Jessica Legear; and his siblings, Allen Legear, Alberta Swinford, Madeline Abrams, William and Jerry Legear.
He is survived by: his children, Diana McGoey (Hank) of Schuylkill Haven and Douglas Legear (Dayan Watson) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Douglas Legear Jr. of Connersville, Scott Legear of Winchester, Jeff Legear of Fairland, Crystal McCoy of Winchester, Ryan Hunt of Schuylkill Haven and Harry McGoey of Schuylkill Haven; and his brother Clyde Legear of Richmond. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
