He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmet McDivitt and Mary Parks McDivitt; his wife Melba K. McDivitt; and his siblings, Ellsworth McDivitt, Kenneth McDivitt, Cecil McDivitt, Esther Dearth, Hazel Dafler, Lester McDivitt, Eugene McDivitt, Mary Lou Cavins, Mabel Sandlin, Barbara Shelley and Keith McDivitt.
He is survived by: his children, Joe McDivitt (Cathy) of Connersville, Cora McDivitt Binder of Lebanon, Monty McDivitt of Laguna Niguel and Matt McDivitt (Kristy) of Richmond, Indiana; his grandchildren, April McDivitt Schilling (Ed), Eric Binder, Amanda Binder Coots (Andrew), Mandy McDivitt Eliason (Andy), Deidra Binder, Dakota McDivitt and Carson McDivitt; his great grandchildren, Ava Schilling, Callie Schilling, Ace Eliason, Adalyn Coots, Emmy Eliason, Henley Coots and Ivy Eliason; and his siblings, Virgil McDivitt of Fountain City, IN, Ruth Ann Loy of Greenville, OH, Paul McDivitt (Betty) of Glenwood, IN and Ruby Hackenbracht of Medina, OH. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Doan & Mills Funeral Home (790 W Nat'l Rd, Richmond, IN 47374). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Earlham Cemetery (1101 W Nat'l Rd, Richmond, IN 47374).
