Elizabeth (Marino) Sonsini Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth (Marino) Sonsini of Richmond, Indiana, who passed away on October 13, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregorio Marino and Lucia Marino; her siblings, Eustachio, Antonio Marino, Laura Smarrelli and Pacina Sanelli; her son-in-law Gorman Siler; her grandson Brian Thomas; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Williams and Clara McLaughlin.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Siler, Antoinette "Annie" Sonsini, James Sonsini Jr. (Sue), Barbara Wood (Nick) and John Sonsini; her grandchildren, Marc (Jill), Marci Siler, Barry (Chrisanne), Jamie Thomas, Tony (Dawn), Angela Sonsini (Remy), Jill Thompson and Staci Eufemi (Nick); her great grandchildren, Kinsey, Lissa Siler, Kylie, Hunter Thomas, Madison, Ashtyn and Kennedy Sonsini; and her sisters, Maria Galante, Antonina Di Pietrantonio, Concetta Ferella and Giovanna Massarotti of Melbourne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association 50 East 91st Street Suite 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46209 or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish 240 South 6th Street Richmond, Indiana 47374, in Elizabeth's honor.

Linda Myers wrote a sympathy message

“From Linda Terzini Myers., Taylors, SC. I did not know her well, but my Aunts Helen, Mary, and Agnes Terzini were very close. Only Mary is still living and in an assisted living facility. I remember my mother, Rosina Terzini, taking me over to visit when Elizabeth was making spaghetti sauce and the aroma filled the house. I also remember the picture of her childhood home in Toco Casauria in Italy hanging on the wall. My sympathy goes out to the family. She is at peace now.”
