He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Clayton and Doris Louise Hodson Kindley; and his brother David Kindley. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Geraldine "Geri" Taylor Kindley; his children, Renee Charles (Ed) of Centerville, Indiana, Eric Kindley of Arkansas and Tony Risch (Debbie) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Brandon Kindley, Rachel Sigmon (Dan), Jennifer Davis, Coleman Risch (Amanda) and Trina Risch; his great grandchildren, Jackson Davis, Colten, Gavin, Hannah and June Risch; and his siblings, Linda Rector of Hagerstown, Lorena Foster of California, Deborah McNichols of Missouri and Timothy Kindley of California.
