She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis R. Hayes and Daisy Pearl Greer (Embry); her husband Russell Cook; her children, Jimmie Cook, Ruth Apple and Serena Short; her grandsons, Jeremy Gray, Russell S. Cook and Chico Cook; and her stepfather Arthur Greer.
She is survived by: her children, Hope Baker (Mike), John Cook, Jack Cook, Marty Cook, Russell J. Cook (Linda) and Chris Cook; her grandchildren, Jessie and Ashley Cook; and her sisters, Pauline Downing, Geraldine Millington and Kathy Williams. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.
