He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Martin and Anna Martin (Dempster); his children, Wayne Martin and Beverly Sue Martin; and his siblings, Carol Schroeder, Merle, Hugh and Jack Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his daughters, Katherine Cloonen, Lynetta Raplee and Susan Martin; his daughter-in-law Diane Martin of Charlotte, NC; his sisters, Marian Townsend of Upland, IN and Nancy Martin of West Lafayette; his granddaughters, Michelle, Jennifer, Kelly, Jacquelyn and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Aiden, Carter, Samuel, John, Luke and Lux.
