With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William R. Gehring of Rensselaer, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William R. left this world on February 22, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Matthew and Lillian Gehring (Dolezal); and his siblings, James Joseph Gehring and Mary Ellen Walter. He is survived by: his wife Peg; his children, Dr. David Gehring (Mara) of Washington, D. C, William "Bill" Gehring (Gwynne) of Hebron, IN, Donna Chalko (Stephen) of Fishers, IN, Barbara Skinner (David) of Rensselaer, Susan Kanne (Gregg) of Rensselaer, James Gehring (Tamara) of Rensselaer, Lynn Meeks (Chris) of Rensselaer and Steven Gehring (Michele) of Mishawaka, IN.; his brothers, Dan Gehring (Carol) and Rev. Robert Gehring; and his sister-in-law Elsie Cepican of Scottsdale. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (318 N McKinley Ave, Rensselaer, IN 47978). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
