It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vivian Lora Ames of Rensselaer, Indiana, born in Morocco, Indiana, who passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robbins and Ida Robbins (Beckwith); her husband Herman DeVere Ames; her sister Cora Marie George; her son Eric Brian Ames; her grandsons, Robert Scott Orr and Matthew Kenton Ames; and her daughter-in-law Debra Ames.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Orr (Dennis) of St. John, IN, Karen Forte (Steve) of Yelm, WA, Randal Ames of Morocco, IN and Kenton Ames (Tamara) of Fair Oaks, IN; and her grandchildren, Julie Olson, Kimberly Nelson, Aimee Orr-McNally, Brett Ames, Nick Ames, Natalie Whisker and Nick Bittick. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rensselaer Good Samaritan Food Pantry and/or the Mt. Ayr United Methodist Church.
