He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Dowty, Jr. and Betty Jane Dowty (Lowe). He is survived by: his wife Regina Hidie; his children, Morgan Perkins (Kyle) and Zachary Dowty; his stepchildren, Chipo Mahwali and Stephen Mahwali; his sisters, Gina Mumbower (James) and Sharon Dowty; his grandchildren, Addalynn, Jacqueline, William, Kenzington, Alexandra, Natalie, Brenleigh, Kameron and Thomas; and his nieces and nephews, Clair Chama, Mukuka Mofu, Andrew Chanda, Tina Nkombo, Nouvy Mazumba, Mumba Lukunka, Knievel, Nigel, Chisenga, Mulenga Hidie, Shelby Amor, Dylan and Colton Bursley. He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
