She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilford Koch and Thelma Koch (Chumbley); and her husband Julius Brooks. She is survived by: her family, Tracie Smoot (James) and Barbie Evans; her grandchildren, Puck, Zen, Bodhi Smoot, Riley and Mason Evans; her siblings, Karl Koch (Sharon) and Lisa Hutchinson (Michael); and her pet Dahlia. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews, and great-nieces & great-nephews.
