She was predeceased by: her parents, David Nichols and Jewel Counts (Reed); her husband Melvin Sampson; and her sisters, Sheila Crownover and Suzanne Rose (Jim Province).
She is survived by: her children, Phillip Ellenburg (Peter), Dan Fraley (Jill) and Talara Ellenburg (Crystal); and her sisters, Wanda Faye Copeland, Lois Parker and Lana Erickson. She is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Boersma Funeral Home (90 E Grove St, Wheatfield, IN 46392). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Independence Cemetery (E 375 N & E 500 N, Gillam Township, IN 46392).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jasper County Veterans Council.
