The passing of Robert Eugene Gratner of Rensselaer, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gratner and Ruby Gratner (Humes); and his siblings, George, Wayne Gratner and Norma Swartz.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his sons, Warren James "Jim" Gratner (Emily) of Indianapolis, IN and Charles Henry Gratner (Betsy) of Carmel, IN; his grandsons, Lance, Miles and Nolan; and his sisters, Mary Standish of Rensselaer, IN and Carol Spurgeon of Trafalgar, IN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer (250 N McKinley Ave, Rensselaer, IN 47978). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
