He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lewis and Geneva Lewis (Healey); his wife Joan Ellen Prather; his brother Jack Lewis; his daughter-in-law Alice Lewis; and his brother-in-law Jim Adamson.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Lewis of Rensselaer, IN, Kathy Lewis of Monticello, IN, Cindy Deaton (Jim) of Brenham, TX, Todd Lewis (Micki) of Noblesville, IN and Tara Wood of Monticello, IN; and his siblings, William Lee Lewis (Wilma) of Rensselaer, IN and Janet Adamson of Remington, IN.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church of Rensselaer.
