It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Paul Bovenkerk of Rensselaer, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 78, on April 8, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Bovenkerk and Maggie Bovenkerk (Van Der Molen); his siblings, Donna Walstra (Don) and Dale Bovenkerk; and his granddaughter Lily Hovis.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Messmaker-Bovenkerk (Slager); his children, Kevin Messmaker (Susie) and Kristi Deavers (Mark); his siblings, Betty Lintner (Ron) and Calvin Bovenkerk; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Bovenkerk. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions we respectfully ask that you follow all government mandates. Only 50 people will be allowed inside at any one time and must follow rules of social distancing.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for the family.
