Merle Putt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Putt (Rensselaer, Indiana), who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Merle may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Merle touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Deana. He is survived by: his daughters, Shirley Babcock and Melanie Augustine; his son-in-law Estel George; and his grandchildren, Carey Babcock, Brock Babcock, Maddie Augustine, Natalee George and Eric George.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Christian Church (327 N Van Rensselaer St, Rensselaer, IN 47978). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
