It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. Thorndyke of Rensselaer, Indiana, born in Wolcott, Indiana, who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde E. Thorndyke and Lucille J. Thorndyke (Hartman); and his former wife Vicky Thorndyke (Montgomery). He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Thorndyke (Daniel Taylor) of Noblesville, IN and Kristine Thorndyke of Shanghai, China; his grandson Bhodie Taylor; and his brother Daniel J. Thorndyke (Dinah) of Rensselaer, IN.. He is also survived by his daughters and his brother, and spending time with his grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made in John's honor to Friends of the Jasper County Animal Shelter or the American Lung Association.
