She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lowry and Sarah Lowry (Pullins); her husband Ward Gaines; and her siblings, Sarah Alice Sites, Betty Wendt, Carol Harris, Bob Lowry, Eugene Lowry and Donald Lowry.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Gaines of Rensselaer, Steven Gaines (Diane) of Rensselaer and Sally Dobson (Earl) of Rensselaer; and her sister Kay Nelson of Lafayette, Indiana.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren.
