He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafayette McEwen and Ethel McEwen (Melton). He is survived by: his wife Beulah McEwen; his children, Brenda Ellers (Larry), Edna Hopkins, Christal Kaufman (Butch Selby), James K. McEwen Jr., Lou Peterson (Bob) and Sheila Shafer (Greg Leuck); and his brother Billy McEwen. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
