It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack A Whitaker Sr. of Rensselaer, Indiana, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lebo Whitaker and Mollie Whitaker (Salyers); his wife Patricia Jarvis (England); and his son Tojo'Jack Whitaker Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Lee Whitaker (Laura) and Kirk Whitaker (Sue); his grandchildren, Jennifer Camacho (Joe), Devan Whitaker, Kyle Whitaker (Amber), Jarid and Arika Hivley; and his great grandchildren, Jayla, Jiana, Ailynn, Noa, Arya and Korra.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the American Legion Post 29 (1565 N McKinley Ave, Rensselaer, IN 47978).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Happy Tails Animal Shelter of White County or the Air Force Aid Society—an act of kindness that Jack himself would have done without hesitation.
