He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Hammond and Minnie Hammond (Stowers); and his daughter-in-law Beth. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Reinhold; his children, Jerry Hammond of Guntersville, AL, Rick Hammond (Barb) of Rensselaer, IN, Ron Hammond (Karen) of Murfreesboro, TN and Julia Carter (Mike) of Indianapolis, IN; and his sister Arlene Coley of Rensselaer, IN.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parr Baptist Church.
