He was predeceased by: his parents, Callista Tonner (Reiff) and Paul Tonner; his siblings, Pauline Cody, Leo, Robert and Arthur; and his daughters, Mary Ann and Mary Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Jeffrey Tonner (Cynthia) of Phoenix, Gregory Tonner (Kathy) of Chicago, Edward "Ned" Tonner (Shari) of Rensselaer, Ann Finnegan (Timothy) of Lake Forest, IL and Christopher Tonner (Julie) of Riverwoods, IL.; his grandchildren, Matthew, George Andrew, David, Eileen, Michael, Joseph, Paul, Elizabeth, Laura, Emily, Joshua, Colette, Lauren, Nicholaus, Graham and Katherine; his great grandchildren, Cora, George and Hallie; and his siblings, Donald, Harold, Gerald, Carolyn Grube and Suzanne Wright.
